Scaling and polishing is a professional dental cleaning that removes plaque, tartar (calculus), and surface stains from your teeth. At Trust Dental Surgery, the procedure includes ultrasonic scaling to remove hardened deposits, hand scaling for precision cleaning, polishing to smooth tooth surfaces and remove stains, and a gum health assessment. It is recommended every 6 months to maintain good oral health and prevent gum disease. CHAS subsidies are available for eligible patients.
